Map Tricks that are allowed and not allowed.

I am starting this thread so that we can address the issues of what is allowed and what is not allowed, as far as map tricks/glitches, on the maps that are run on the UN servers.

Opstorm, Fry, and myself (Dhitman66) will be testing these and discussing all of the maps and the tricks for each. We will post here soon on these. We will give a list by map of the known tricks/glitches and the reason or reasons why we are allowing or disallowing a map trick/glitch.

Tonight I was playing on the C&C_Ruins0X.mix and learned about a way to get on the mountains behind the bases. Although this can be done by both teams, IT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED! The reason it won't be allowed is this:
1) It is possible to shoot through the mountain and kill the enemy. If this was not the case, this would be allowed.

I will post screen shots of this so all will understand what I am talking about.

What about on alpine when you walk up the mountain? That's completly allowed... right?

Yes that is allowed.

I took out the OB so I could go to the NOD base and get these Screenshots.

Although GDI can get up on the mountain, it is easier to get on the mountain from the nod side.

Here I shot the airstrip and you can see the message that it is under attack. This show that you can shoot through the mountain:

This is the reason this will not be allowed on this map. Sorry everyone. I would love to allow this but due to this, we can't.

set a nuke in the bush near the wf, so gdi cant disarm it


on FieldTS

the buggy in the tunnel on field only NOD can do that

On Field TS, you can also get a humm-vee in to the tunnel.

Basically:

1. Buy a humm-vee
2. Take it to barracks entrance
3. Squeeze it through the entrance and the doors
4. Once your inside, squeeze it out the back
5. Voila! Your behind the barracks, and can go into the tunnel.

Now, if you have mad humm-vee skillz like me ( ) you can load the humm-vee with two hotties and drive to the Nod base. Once there, (you only have one chance) you squeeze through the rocks where the Nod buggy goes through to get in, and make your way, untouched to the airstrip, and take it easily out.

what about maps where gdi can run straight into ob? and I mean not walking backwards or anything. Just run into it......since it is impossible/very hard for nod to do that to agt

One of the maps I can think of right off the top of my head is Wasteland. GDI can virtually walk into the ob and even get to the HON the same way. On the other hand, NOD can get on the mountain and slide down the mountain wall and nuke the barracks and/or the ref.

You will have to make sure this is defended against very well because both are allowed. This does not mean that OB Walking (walking backwards) is allowed, it is not. But what we are talking about is not OB walking.

Although this may be a great tactic, it was decided long ago that the vehicles, on this map, are not allowed in the tunnels. So, the answer to this question is that it's not allowed.

I tested this with 4 different nukes and I was able to disarm each. The nukes were placed in both bushes by WF back door and still I was able to disarm them. This is allowed.

Some pp glitch into vehicles and that way shoot with both vehicle weapon and infantry weapon. I never succeeded in doing so, someone explained it to me; jump into a vec, move a little get out end immediately get back in while its moving. This way creating vehicles like the flaming humm-vee or auto volt lighttank etc, etc.

How about this glitch exploit? allowed or not allowed.

I do it on accident when i get into vehilces sometimes. It just happens sometimes for me and i don't know why. I always get out and get back in cause its really glitchy when it happens.

Glad to see none of my maps posted yet

Ive always tried to make my maps glitch free as possible, nothing like someone expoliting and ruining a good game....like fixing the Nod PP for flying maps where you can't drop in....also I fixed the Refninery's blockers ....Alkaline told me about that one.

My maps that have bug's,

Country side, you can fly off the map and underneath it

That's all I can think of....

I remember a map on Renbattle where you could fly under the map....forget the name of it tho.

I cant remember the map name but its the one that has ob/agt on both ends. but on gdi's side you can use extras and get a stealth car and drive it up over the mountain of nod and land it behind the con yard and the pp and plant an ion.

Usually they come a running and kill you but not always, if the team sucks ;D
